Our Approach

Elohim Records is a gospel recording label which promotes some of the industry leaders in Gospel, Gospel Rap , Jazz, Blues, R &B , Neo-Soul and Hip Hop. Our motto is “Taking Back the Music” with the understanding that in the beginning music was made for the exclusive purpose to worship the True and Living God. Therefore, we feature gospel artists that make music that have an eclectic feel that touches, ministers, and reaches out to people from all walks of life. Our Story

Elohim Records was founded in 2008 by Jason LeBeau as Elohim Recordings, a budding recording label designed to create gospel music with an eclectic style. Jason LeBeau grew up in New Orleans, LA watching major labels like No Limit and Cash Money records make their rise to greatness and even had family members who worked with and for these two major labels. It was Jason LeBeau’s dreams to create a gospel label which would do the same things major record labels like No Limit and Cash Money had done but for the Kingdom of God. He wanted to make an impact for God’s Kingdom. Jason founded Elohim Recording is a gospel artist himself and was looking to create a label that would protect himself as an artist as well as create opportunities for other gospel artists and gospel hip hop artists coming up in the industry. Slowly, Jason began to work within the industry, network, create new contacts, and work with other artist which would extend beyond the realm of gospel music but also in the genres of Jazz, R& B, Neo-Soul, and Hip hop. However, Jason continued to focus on gospel music, yet he began to employ more eclectic sounds and producers to create a sound that would reach the unchurched and those who do not usually listen to gospel music in order to draw them towards the Kingdom of God.
